Silicon Carbide
It is the best material for sealing face up to now, extensively applied in mechanical seals as rotary and stationary faces. Comparing with Tungsten Carbide, silicon carbide has advantages of low density, better corrosion and thermal resistance, low friction coefficient. Also, due to its extremely high hardness property, Silicon Carbide is widely applied in Mechanical Seals as hard faces/rings.
Feature:
· Extra high hardness ·High temperature resistance
·Excellent thermal transmittance ·Better corrosion/friction resistance
·Good acid media resistance ·Economical material
